Director of Facilities

Laredo, TX

The Director of Facilities will play a pivotal role in managing facilities, grounds, and biomedical staff. Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that testing, repairs and preventative maintenance of clinical equipment, physical plant equipment, and hospital are performed
  • Maintain departmental budgets
  • Schedule and lead Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) meetings
  • Order all necessary equipment to support the facility management operations
  • Assist with occasional construction projects
Education:
  • BS Mechanical Engineering or 5 years experience with facilities management operations
  • Ability to type and perform computer data entry
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Experience:
  • 5 Years experience with electric controls
  • Experience with building construction and ability to read blueprints
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, powered generators, water softener systems, medical gas systems and clinical devices
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License
