Portfolio Analytics Associate - Multifamily Construction - Austin, TX

The Portfolio Analytics Associate will work directly with the CFO/COO but will be expected to coordinate across all areas of the Firm, including Finance and Accounting, Asset Management, Acquisitions, and Investor Relations. The role will manage an existing Data Scientist and future analyst resources as the Firm’s growth requires. Responsibilities include the following:

• Build, update, enhance, and maintain fund (both open and closed-end) and separate account-level models
• Aggregate, validate, and manage property, fund, and return data in proprietary data warehouse
• Maintain data warehouse and add new data sets, and develop templates used for collecting data
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards with key performance indicators and portfolio statistics for all divisions of the Firm
• Analyze aggregated property level data to assess current fund needs and forecast fund performance
• Update quantitative aspects of quarterly marketing materials utilized by the investor relations team
• Respond to due diligence requests and develop Tableau, Excel, VBA, and Python tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Continue to develop processes, policies, and procedures where necessary
• Provide ad hoc analysis for management as requested
• Work with Fund Controller and third-party Administrator to validate ongoing performance of open-end fund

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field, with strong academic credentials, preferably with an MIS or computer science minor
• 3+ years of related finance experience (Investment Banking, Consulting, Programming, etc.)
• Diligent work ethic with ability to take initiative and comfortably work in fast-paced environment with simultaneous ongoing projects
• Keen interest and curiosity in private equity and institutional-level real estate investing
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite, especially as it relates to Excel
• Knowledge of Tableau, Python, SQL, and VBA
• Ability to work with large data sets and strong understanding of data warehouses
• Impeccable organizational skills
• Familiarity with private equity fee structure (performance fee waterfalls, management fees, etc.)
